Susie has been working with the Future Homes Hub and others to better understand the implications of AD-O.
Here are some of her (constantly evolving) personal opinions on the subject.

Inkling are proud to have been on the working group delivering the newly published 2022 update to CIBSE TM54.

In December 2021 the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (formally known as MHCLG) published updates to the building regulations which included the introduction of AD-O. Here’s our take.

Does everybody need good NABERS?
The National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS) has proved itself effective at significantly improving in-use energy performance in (initially mostly office) buildings in the Australian market, and is now being introduced to the UK.

Inkling first started providing building physics consultancy in September 2011. Since then we have achieved a great deal to be proud about.

Susie has collaborated once again with Julie Godefroy on behalf of the GHA for Woodknowledge Wales to write guidance on the use of BPE to help deliver high quality new homes.

Inkling are really glad to support the Crash charity appeal again this Christmas. Crash are a charity that work within the construction industry to create places that care for people who are homeless or in a hospice and receiving end of life care. You can see our customised Christmas e-card below.

Inkling were very excited to win the tender to produce a new Good Homes Alliance tool to assess overheating risk in new homes at the early design stage, back in October 2018: https://inklingllp.com/2018/10/17/inkling-win-gha-tender-for-overheating-research/ Susie has worked closely with Julie Godefroy (Julie Godefroy Sustainability) and Nicola O’Connor (Mandarin Research) with support and feedback from an expert

Claire and Susie both travelled to Sheffield in April to attend the annual CIBSE Technical Symposium. Here is the Wakelet write up of what we learned:

Inkling are proud to be supporting the CRASH Christmas appeal again this year. CRASH do great work caring for people who need homes. You can support the appeal too by following this link: http://www.crash.org.uk/event/the-big-crash-mas-build/
