UKGBC Rising Star Award 2013 nomination
UK Green Building Council + PRP Architects conceived the Rising Star Award in memory of Mel Starrs, a prominent built environment practitioner and PRP employee who sadly and suddenly passed away in July 2012. The inaugural Rising Star award is to highlight the work of a built environment professional who has made a real difference to the sustainability agenda.
I am thrilled to be shortlisted for this award. I knew Mel a little; she was one of my industry heroes and was fast becoming a friend. One of the most touching tweets after she died was from Rob Annable @eversion;
“And now? Now we’ve all got to raise our game.”
I’m doing my best…
The winner will be announced at a ceremony at Ecobuild this Wednesday 6th March. It’s a fantastic shortlist (and not just because I’m on it). You can read more who made the shortlist here on the UKGBC website.
