Inkling is 10!

Inkling first started providing building physics consultancy in September 2011. Since then we have achieved a great deal to be proud about. Our achievements include (but are not limited to):

• Almost 300 commercial jobs. These cover a huge range from homes to hospitals, schools, theatres and offices, new build and retrofit, passive and highly serviced
• Supporting research including:
  • Overheating risk in homes
  • Analysis of modelling results against monitored data
  • Future weather file use and production
• Inkling partners have become:
  • CIBSE Fellow
  • CIBSE LCEA
  • NABERS UK Independent Design Review Panel member
• We have volunteered for:
  • CIBSE
    • Helping write and review TM59, TM54 (current update), AM11
    • Judging Building Performance Awards
    • Members of the scientific committee for the Technical Symposium
  • LETI
    • Supporting development of the Climate Emergency Design Guide
    • Leading a workstream developing a LETI modelling guide (ongoing)
    • Coordinating consultation response on overheating in building regulations
    • Member of LETI steering group (taskforce)

We’ve also attended every CIBSE technical symposium, and got stuck into countless industry debates. We are grateful for the vehicle that Inkling gives us to make a living doing something we are good at, whilst continuing to learn and share our knowledge to better the wider industry.
